Golf Course Information - New York

Pinnacle State Park Golf Course
1904 Pinnacle Road Addison, NY 14801

This magnificent parcel of land, with its rolling terrain, rises from the Canisteo River which is 980 feet above sea level, to the top of Orr Hill which is 1,725 feet above sea level. World-renowned golf course landscape architect Geoffery Cornish designed the course with the clubhouse built on top of Orr Hill to take advantage of the spectacular view. Although this is a 9-hole course, white and blue tee markers are alternated to provide an 18-hole challenge.

The 730-acre park also offers fishing, hunting, hiking and mountain biking.

St. Lawrence State Park Golf Course
4955 State Highway 37 Ogdensburg, NY 13669

Originally owned by five area golfers as a private 9-hole club more than 75 years ago, St. Lawrence was purchased by the state in the mid 1960s. With its long, sweeping hills and pond, the course was designed to incorporate the panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River shipping channel and the Canadian shore. The vista can be seen from the fairways and from the clubhouse veranda. This 9-hole course can be played twice from different tees for an 18-hole round.

Rockland Lake State Park Golf Course
Route 9W Congers, NY 10920

Rockland Lake State Park, located just 25 miles north of New York City in the Hudson Valley, features two 18-hole golf courses--one a championship course, the other, an executive course. The championship course is a true test of golfing skills. The tight, tree-lined fairways and rolling terrain lead to elevated greens. There are only 37 bunkers on the course, but all are well-placed. The par 3s are long and difficult. All the holes on the executive course are par 3s and vary in length from 110 yards to 213 yards. Driving range mats are used for teeing surfaces. This course provides a good test of skill to brush up on your short game. The park also has two Olympic-size swimming pools, six tennis courts and picnic areas. Visitors can fish, boat or hike the available trails, which are also used by cross-country skiers in winter.
