Vineyards
and Winetasting in New York
Castello
di Borghese
Route 48 (Sound Ave) and Alvah’s Lane; Cutchogue New York 11935
Tel. (631) 734-5111
Since
1999, the first vineyard on the North Fork has been in the creative
hands of Prince Marco and Princess Ann Marie Borghese, who promptly
renamed it Castello di Borghese -- Castle of the Borgheses. The
Borgheses actually enjoy greeting visitors to their “castello,”
often taking time to join in, or even lead, the many wine tastings
held in their newly updated tasting room. “By being out front we
can provide our customers with a better idea of what we're trying
to achieve in our wines,” says Ann Marie.

Bedell Cellars Tasting Room
Bedell North Fork, LLC. 36225 Main Road, (Rt. 25) Cutchogue, NY
11935
Phone: (631) 734-7537
The
Bedell Cellars Tasting Room was renovated in 2001, completing the
first stage of an extensive renovation of its historic building
on the North Fork of Long Island. The ceiling was raised to reveal
the full height and character of the original barn structure that
was built in 1919. A split mezzanine was added, along with a fireplace
to warm up a cold winter's day. From the mezzanine, visitors now
have a sweeping view of the vineyards and can look into the winery
and state-of-the-art bottling line.
During
the warmer months, visitors can taste the wines and picnic in the
shaded lawn adjacent to the Cottage's apple orchard and the vineyards.
Visitors can also enjoy the views from a beautiful outdoor Pavilion
connected to the tasting room.

Family Wineries
24385 Main Road - PO Box 1269 Cutchogue, New York 11935
Phone: (631) 734-7089
In
August of 2000, Vince Galluccio became the proud new owner of the
high profile and critically acclaimed Gristina Vineyards. As many
Italian American families in the Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn,
the Galluccios bought grapes and made a little home wine in the
basement. Vince fondly remembers helping his grandfathers crush
the grapes and tasting the fresh juice. With a strong commitment
to quality, Galluccio Family Wineries continues to develop and secure
the brand recognition and loyalty that the Gristina label has so
well earned, while focusing on the introduction of new premium,
hand-crafted wines.
The
elegantly appointed "farmhouse" Tasting Room sits quietly back from
the road, and is regally placed atop a gently sloping verdant hill.
Through the reception room, and from the deck, enjoy panoramic views
of the vineyard rows as far as the eye can see.
